PPFC Launches Elite Player Program: Top Drawer
PPFC Launches Elite Player Program: Top Drawer
This March, PPFC launched its three-month pilot session of Top Drawer, an elite
training experience designed for the club’s most skilled and committed players.
“The Top Drawer mission is to provide advanced, personalized training for talented
players with big soccer goals. Participants are identified by their coaches and invited to
join the program,” explained PPFC Technical Director Ramo Badohoun.
Drawn from our U13 through U15 teams, seventeen players participated in the Spring
2025 PPFC Top Drawer program. Each week, a one-hour, curated training session
supplemented regular team training.
“I like the energy when all the players are really committed and love soccer as much as
I do,” said Top Drawer player Bennett Lees.
At the end of each training session, players were assigned skills moves as homework to
develop a rain-or-shine, daily habit of 15 minutes on the ball. Bi-weekly online meetings
rounded out the development program with tactical videos and mental training tips. To
aid the goal of long-term, steady advancement, each player was also given a journal to
record what they learned for ongoing personal reference.
In addition, Top Drawer parents participated in bi-weekly online educational meetings
designed to help them better support their kids’ soccer dreams.
Aaron Pieffer, parent of three Top Drawer players said, “Top Drawer has been great for
our children. We have not only seen them improve their individual skills but also grow in
their decision-making with and without the ball. I would highly recommend this
program.”
As the regular spring season draws to a close, PPFC coaches will now determine
invites for the next Top Drawer session. Training will begin in August and run through
May.
