Winter Competitions for PPFC Players:
Cultivating Team Bonds, Enhancing Personal Skills, and Winning Divisions
This past winter, 11 PPFC teams hit the road to put their skills to the test in nationally recognized competitions.
“Beyond the growth that happens in regular league seasons, we want PPFC players to stretch themselves through high-level tournaments and out-of-state experiences,” stated PFFC technical director Ramo Badohoun.

National League Desert Conference
Taking on top-flight opponents in Phoenix, AZ and Las Vegas, NV, PPFC’s U19 boys participated in the USYS National League Desert Conference for a second straight year. This seasoned group of players battled hard on the field and strengthened their bond as a close-knit team.
Yellowstone Conference Qualifier
PPFC’s U17 boys, U15 boys, and U19 girls also headed to Phoenix and Las Vegas to compete in the annual two-leg Yellowstone Conference Qualifier.

All three teams benefited from skill-testing matches and our U19 girls took first place in their division. This achievement qualified the team for the 2025-26 Desert Conference.
Whitney Mason, mother of U19 player Eiley Mason, said: “The Qualifier was a valuable experience. It showed us what’s out there in terms of higher-level competition and brought our team closer together. Strategizing on the field, cheering each other on from the sidelines, and spending time together off the pitch – the Qualifier was a great chance to bond with teammates.”
Real Colorado Spring Classic
Seven PPFC teams competed closer to home at the annual Real Colorado Spring Classic, held in Longmont, CO. The club was proudly represented by our U11, U12, U13, and U14 boys and our U11, U12, and U14 girls.
Each of these younger teams experienced beneficial new challenges as they continue to grow their skill sets, and our U12 boys grabbed first in their division.
Coach Adam Fillman said, “I couldn’t be prouder of our boys and their performance at the Real Classic tournament this year. I am most proud of their willingness to put the team first and try hard in positions that aren’t where they normally play. These boys put the PPFC philosophy into practice and celebrated every goal and every save as a team. Ultimately, their commitment to each other and the team led them to win their division.”
Thank you to all the players and families who represented PPFC with grace, grit, and courage this winter. We are proud of you!
